Aid Venezuela is born as a space in charge of attending specific cases of humanitarian aid to institutions of health, popular sectors of low resources or particular people that by means of the previous link with a foundation/project/community in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and after the monitoring of its case allows to make him arrive an aid with the purpose of cushioning a little the damage to the life that suffer the citizens in this country.
Food for life
Food for life seeks to provide those communities of low resources that present severe and moderate cases of malnutrition with a food sustenance that serves as a means to face this crisis, where children and older adults have been the most affected because they do not have the resources to get ahead.
Currently the project @aid.venezuela has the support of various users such as @r2cornell, @scilwa and @juliakponsford as well as delegates in various parts of the country who help us get cases of this kind to address them through crowfunding campaigns.
Food for life in Miranda State, community “Strenght and will” Venezuela
Within the state of Miranda, there are several communities that succumb to the lack of food, our program seeks in this first approach to provide food support to the community of “Force and Will” which has a high rate of malnutrition in older adults and children under age.
Yesenia Alvarez has been supporting these people for a whole year seeking resources through neighbors and foundations like Caritas Venezuela, who have provided grain and dry food to carry it out, but motivated by the cost of products each day is less what she receives to carry it forward.
The most serious cases in the community are:
Older adults with severe and moderate malnutrition: 26 Older adults
Children with severe and moderate malnutrition: 54 childrens.
Total population: 80 people.
I will update this with height, age and weight…
As part of allowing a balanced diet we create a menu that can allow the intake of protein at least twice a week, also allowing the menu to have intake of vegetables and grains.
Our menu is composed of:
Monday: Rice and grains.
Tuesday: Spaghetti and stewed mortadella.
Thursday: Arepas with egg stew
VIernes: Rice with ground beef stew.
Previously discussed with nutritionist staff who seek to provide support to the community.
Food purchase (week): $150
Transportation (week): $20
Other expenses (week): $10
In total we need $180 to make our first week of support to this community and extra $180 for almost help the community in a second week.
We are also doing a post in steemit to get more funds for the program in its Spanish version, and contacting with some fundations for start a collected of donations inside the country.
We thank you for your support, let’s help those who need it.
